Why this salon exists

Northeast Calgary is one of the fastest-growing parts of the city and one of the most under-served for good salon work. Plenty of people here were driving thirty or forty minutes for a colour appointment, or settling for a chain chair and hoping for the best. The Style Loft was opened to make that drive unnecessary.

The idea was simple: one room that does hair, skin and hair removal properly, for women, men and kids, at prices published on the wall. No separate trip for brows. No quote invented on the spot when you’re already in the chair. No upselling a treatment you don’t need.

How we work

• Consultation before chemicals, every time. Colour, bleach, keratin and perms start with a strand test. If your hair can’t take what you’re asking for today, you’ll hear that before anything is mixed — along with what it would take to get there safely.
• Prices published. Every service and price is on this website. You know the number before you commit.
• Cuts you can repeat at home. A shape that only works when a stylist blow-dries it isn’t a good cut. We’ll show you how to get it back.
• Hygiene that isn’t a talking point. Fresh thread and fresh wax sticks for every client, no double-dipping, tools sanitised between guests.

Who we look after

Everyone. Women’s cutting and colour is the biggest part of the book, but a large share of our regulars are men coming in for a fade and a beard trim, families booking three cuts back to back on a Saturday, and people who found us for a $10 brow thread and stayed for everything else.

We work on every hair type and texture that walks through the door, and the consultation is where we work out what your particular hair needs — because a fine straight head of hair and a dense curly one need completely different handling, and the mistake is treating them the same.

What’s next

Bridal and party makeup is launching soon, which will make The Style Loft a single stop for a whole wedding party — hair, skin, brows and makeup in one morning.

Finding us

We’re at 110 Corner Meadows Manor NE, Unit 110 in Cornerstone, just off Country Hills Boulevard NE and minutes from Stoney Trail, with free parking right outside. Most of our clients come from Cornerstone, Skyview Ranch, Redstone, Savanna, Cityscape, Livingston, Carrington, Coventry Hills and Saddle Ridge — and plenty drive down from Airdrie — but you’re just as welcome from anywhere in the city.
