Keratin treatment — $250+
A keratin formula is worked through the hair and sealed in with heat. It fills the gaps in a damaged cuticle, which is what stops humidity getting in and causing frizz. Your curl or wave is softened but not removed, and blow-drying gets dramatically faster. Lasts three to five months. This is the right choice for most people who say “my hair is frizzy but I don’t want it flat.”
Permanent smoothing — $250+
A structural treatment for people who want genuinely straight hair and are tired of flat-ironing every morning. The result is longer-lasting and stronger than keratin. It is also the most demanding on the hair, so it’s the one we’re most likely to say no to if a strand test comes back badly.
Botox hair treatment — $250+
Not botox and no needles — a deep conditioning filler that plumps damaged areas of the hair shaft. It smooths and adds shine and body while leaving your natural pattern intact. Good for hair that is damaged more than it is frizzy, and for curly clients who want definition rather than straightness.
What happens on the day
- Strand test and consultation — we check how your hair has reacted to previous colour and chemical work.
- Clarifying wash to strip product build-up.
- Application section by section, then heat sealing.
- Aftercare walk-through: 72 hours down and straight, sulphate-free shampoo from then on.
Set aside two and a half to four hours depending on length. If you’re colouring as well, book the colour service first and the smoothing after.

How long does a keratin treatment last?
Three to five months on most hair, depending on how often you wash it and whether you use a sulphate-free shampoo. Fine hair holds it slightly less time than coarse hair.
What is the difference between keratin, permanent smoothing and botox hair treatment?
Keratin ($250+) coats and seals the hair to remove frizz while keeping some movement. Permanent smoothing ($250+) restructures the hair for a straighter, longer-lasting result. Botox hair treatment ($250+) is a deep filler treatment — it smooths and adds body without changing your curl pattern, so it suits people who want their texture kept.
Can I wash my hair after a keratin treatment?
Wait 72 hours, keep it down and straight during that time, and switch to a sulphate-free shampoo afterwards. Sulphates strip the treatment out early — this is the single biggest reason people feel a keratin didn't last.
Is it safe for coloured hair?
Yes, and it's usually done after colouring rather than before. Tell us what colour work you've had done in the last six months and we'll strand-test first.
Will it make my hair dead straight?
Only if you want that. Keratin and botox reduce frizz and cut blow-dry time roughly in half while leaving movement. Permanent smoothing is the option for genuinely straight.
