A cut that still works six weeks later
A good haircut is mostly a good conversation. Before anything is picked up, we want to know how much time you actually spend on your hair in the morning, whether you own a round brush, whether you tie it up by lunchtime, and what grew out badly last time. That is what decides the shape — not a photo of someone with a different head of hair.
From there it’s straightforward work: clean sectioning, cutting to the hair’s own texture rather than fighting it, and a finish you can repeat at home. If your hair has been bleached, boxed-dyed or straightened for years, we will say so, and suggest a treatment before a change of shape rather than after.

- Women’s cutting — one length and wash $45, wolf cut $45, bob $50, layers and wash $50.
- Bangs trim — $15, in and out in ten minutes.
- Kids’ haircuts — $30, patient, and quick enough that nobody loses their nerve.
- Shampoo & styling — $40 for a blow-out before an event, an interview or a wedding.
- Hair spa treatment — $45+. Deep conditioning and a scalp massage for dry ends and a tight, flaky scalp.
- Deep conditioning — $30+, the lighter option for hair that just needs moisture back.
- Olaplex bond repair — $60+. Rebuilds internal bonds after bleaching or heat damage.
Calgary hair, honestly
This city is dry nine months of the year and the water is hard, which is why so much northeast Calgary hair reads as frizzy at the ends and flat at the root at the same time. A conditioning treatment every six to eight weeks does more for that than any product you can buy — and if frizz is the main complaint, a keratin or smoothing treatment is a bigger, longer-lasting fix.

Haircut questions we get asked
How much is a haircut at The Style Loft?
A one-length cut and wash is $45, a bob or a layered cut and wash is $50, and a wolf cut is $45. A shampoo and style on its own is $40, a bangs trim is $15, and kids' cuts are $30. Men's cuts start at $25.
Can you fix a haircut or colour done somewhere else?
Often, yes. Bring a photo of what you asked for and what you got. Colour corrections start at $200 and are booked as a consultation first so we can strand-test and tell you honestly whether it's one appointment or three — over-processed hair sometimes needs to be repaired before it can be re-coloured.
Do you cut curly and textured hair?
Yes. Tell us when you book whether you want it cut dry or wet, and whether you wear it curly or straightened day to day — that changes how the cut is sectioned.
What is Olaplex and do I need it?
Olaplex rebuilds the bonds inside the hair shaft that bleach and heat break. It's $60+ as a standalone treatment, or $20+ added into a colour service, and it's worth it on any lightening appointment — or on its own if your ends snap when you brush them.
